Turf & Ornamentals Press Releases

Latest news releases from our Turf & Ornamentals segment.

WAUKEGAN, ILL. (October 21, 2019) – Turf, ornamental and aquatics professionals now have a more environmentally-friendly option that optimizes the performance of tank-mix partners. Precision Laboratories introduces Pen-A-Trate ECO, an OMRI-certified, nonionic surfactant, drift reduction agent, and deposition aid.

This unique formulation maximizes performance with drift reduction technology that ensures spray applications stay on target, maximizing droplet spread and retention. Additionally, Pen-A-Trate ECO is approved for use in and around aquatic areas. The high-surfactant load also provides improved performance for turf and ornamental spray mixes.

WAUKEGAN, ILL. (May 13, 2019) – Professional turf and ornamental applicators in California can now improve the effectiveness of their spray applications while stewarding the environment. Border 2.0 helps ensure that more of the spray solution reaches its target and is retained on the leaf surface.

“We are excited to introduce Border 2.0 into the California market because it allows spray applicators to achieve a high-level of spray efficacy by helping them control their spray droplets,” says Justin Olmstead, Turf Product Manager at Precision.

WAUKEGAN, ILL. (May 1, 2019) – Precision Laboratories introduces LV™, Low Volume Spray Enhancer, a product specifically formulated to maximize the performance of low volume spray applications.

LV is a low-use-rate blend of nonionic surfactant and water conditioning agents. When making applications at reduced spray volumes, each droplet of spray solution requires maximum performance. The water conditioning system of LV combined with a non-ionic surfactant is designed to increase spray solution efficacy.

WAUKEGAN, Ill (January 23, 2019) – Precision Laboratories launches In-Flow, a product designed to help sports turf managers maintain infield skins.

In-Flow is a granular soil conditioner and surfactant that helps maintain the moisture levels of infield skins. In-Flow influences water’s ability to flow into and throughout the profile of infield skins to find the desired balance between water retention and movement.

Border imageWAUKEGAN, ILL. (April 13, 2015) - Maintaining great outdoor playing surfaces requires spraying plant protectants, growth regulators, and foliar nutrients. Off-target movement of the spray droplets can influence how effective those expensive applications are, especially if they end up blowing into an applicator's face or neighboring yards.
