Position: Account Manager, Specialty Markets

Job Type: Full-time

Area of Responsibility: The outside Account Manager, Specialty Markets will be responsible for supporting the company’s sales activity with assigned customers in California (must reside in CA).

Accountabilities:

  • Achieve contribution and strategic product goals based on key company initiatives
  • Develop good working relationships with various departments within the company
  • Support of the water management initiative
  • Work with Strategic Account Manager to build and support time and territory management plans
  • Conduct product training with customers and identified growers
  • Maintain an updated database of customers, prospects and influencers and growers
  • Utilize post-call reports of activities and follow up needed to increase sales and customer satisfaction
  • Identify and conduct field trials and collect data for use to grow product and category awareness

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture; Ag business, Soil Science, Ag Technologies…
  • 3-5 years of sales experience in agriculture
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Intermediate computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time
  • Pest Control Advisor license, including certification in categories A through G
