Position Description
Area of Responsibility
The IT Support and SAP User Support Technician, Shared Services, is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance across the Organization’s IT systems and infrastructure of both Precision Laboratories (WI) and The Aquatrols Company (NJ). This role ensures the smooth and efficient operation of all shared IT services and will provide both locations with help-desk assistance, network maintenance, software and hardware configurations and network infrastructure maintenance. Additionally, this role will be assisting SAP users with the SD and MM modules when necessary. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide internal help-desk support to the Kenosha, WI and Paulsboro, NJ locations.
- Deliver excellent customer service to employees by responding promptly to inquiries and issues by providing timely, professional technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage and update company assets such as PC’s, Laptops, Network Printers, Servers, NAS, Access Points and Network switches.
- Management of the internal networks.
- Assist and help users with SD and MM Modules of SAP. Will train the right candidate.
- Create and maintain a ticketing system to track and document issues and their resolution status.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing IT policies, such as password resets and data protection.
- Assist in onboarding new employees by setting up equipment, software, and access to company systems.
- Install, configure, and update computers, printers, and other hardware, as well as company-specific hardware.
- Work closely with other IT team members to support larger IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations and rollouts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Expected Contributions and Results:
- Ability to travel to Paulsboro, New Jersey frequently as needed.
- A significant portion of issues are resolved on the first contact, minimizing downtime for users.
- Systems remain operational with minimal unscheduled downtime due to proactive monitoring and timely resolution of issues.
- Hardware and software are maintained at optimal performance levels, with minimal disruptions during updates or installations.
Required Skills
Knowledge of and experience with:
- Education commensurate with the accountabilities of the position.
- ESXI Configuration (HP Servers).
- VMWare virtual environment and VCenter Server.
- Windows Server Active Directory & Group Policy.
- Azure Active Directory & DirSync (Hybrid Environment).
- MFA Configuration.
- MS Intune.
- DNS Management in AWS Route 53 or similar.
- Azure Backup Server (On Premises & Cloud).
- SSL Certificate Management.
- Troubleshooting Networking & Connectively Issues
- Windows clients.
- Windows servers (versions 2012 / 2019 / 2022).
- Hardware knowledge of PCs and Laptops.
- MS Office / MS Office 365 / Azure.
Familiarity with:
- Veem backup platform
- AWS Cloud Computing
- Unix / Linux.
- Network management (subnetting, NAT, firewalling).
- Familiarity with VmWare virtualization environments.
- VLAN Configuration in UniFi or similar.
- Sophos Intercept X or similar.
- EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).
- Phone config using hosted VOIP solution.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in an indoor office setting with extended periods at a computer sitting or standing. Occasional work in server rooms, which may be colder than regular office spaces due to climate control needs.
- Physical effort is needed to move, lift, or carry office equipment or supplies and occasional movement of equipment between different workstations or offices.
- Occasionally lift 25-50 lbs.
- May need to bend, stoop, or kneel to install or repair equipment under desks, in server rooms, or other confined spaces.
- Positioning cables and setting up workstations may require flexibility and manual dexterity.
- Regular use of hand tools to perform installations, repairs, or maintenance of equipment.
- Precise manual tasks, such as connecting small cables or assembling computer parts.
