CPDA, formerly known as the Chemical Producers & Distributors Association, is the premier advocate of inert ingredient and adjuvant suppliers and supports formulators, distributors and manufacturers of post-patent crop and non-crop agricultural production technology products on federal legislative and regulatory issues.
In announcing his election to the CPDA Board of Directors, CPDA President Sue Ferenc stated, “We are fortunate to have an individual of Jim’s caliber as a member of the CPDA Board of Directors. The Council will benefit from his many years of experience in the agricultural chemicals industry and his keen understanding of the myriad complex issues that our members face on a daily basis. His leadership and guidance as a CPDA Board member will help us fortify our voice as the leading advocate of the agrotechnology industry as we move forward.”
As a member of the CPDA Board of Directors, Reiss will take an active role in charting the strategic direction of the Council, establishing its public policy goals and priorities, managing its fiscal affairs on behalf of the almost 70 members of CPDA, and helping to shape its overall structure and function so as to best serve the needs of the CPDA membership and the agrotechnology industry. In serving as one of just 20 CPDA Board Directors, Reiss will be called upon to offer his expertise in helping the organization build a public policy framework that recognizes the important benefits agrotechnology products provide in both the agricultural and non-agricultural arenas.
