WAUKEGAN, IL (November 27, 2015) - Precision Laboratories ensures product compliance with all governing agencies and has completed modification of all specimen labels and safety data sheets to comply with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard 1910.1200 (HazCom 2012) Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
For all product labels that are not GHS compliant, OSHA allows distributors to ship if it was packaged and labeled prior to June 30, 2015 without relabeling each container - provided a GHS-compliant label for each individual container accompanies the product shipment.
For example, a case of 2x2.5 gallons of product requires 2 GHS-compliant specimen labels, a case of 12x1 pint of product requires 12 GHS-compliant specimen labels to be shipped with the product.
This provision will be allowed until December 1, 2017 when all products will be required to have a GHS-compliant label attached to individual containers.
We have supplied all required GHS-compliant labels on each product’s webpage at www.precisionlab.com. By including these labels in appropriate quantities with shipments, distributors will be in full compliance with the GHS 2012 mandate.
